Accessories for the PPT 8800 increase functionality and enable versatile applications, adding to a complete mobile solution.

Cables
  Serial Charging Cable:  When connected to the terminal's RS-232 port, this cable enables serial communications between the terminal and a local PC or server, and also charges the terminal's battery in approximately 2 ½ hours.

  PPT 8800 Universal Cable Cup: This convenient and lightweight snap-on cable cup provides the mechanism and flexibility for cable communication and auto charging capability.

  Attachable Cables: These cables enable auto charging, wall charging, DEX and printer communications, and can be used when appropriate with the universal cable cup.

Cradles
  Single Slot Serial Cradle: This cradle enables communications between the PPT 8800 and a host PC. The cradle also charges the terminal with standard 1700 mAh standard battery and a 1700 mAh standard spare battery stored in the cradle. LEDs indicate when the spare battery and terminal are fully charged.

  Single Slot Serial Cradle B: This cradle enables communication between the PPT 8800 and a host PC and charges the standard 1700 mAh battery or 3400 mAh larger capacity battery in the terminal. Additionally, the Pistol Grip handle (TRG8800-00) can remain attached to the PPT 8800 terminal during cradle communication or charging. This cradle also charges a spare standard 1700 mAh or 3400 mAh capacity battery. LEDs indicate when the spare battery and terminal are fully charged. Up to four 4-slot serial cradles can be daisy-chained together allowing up to 16 terminals to synchronize sequentially.

eConnect Software is available at the Symbol Developer Zone for download for your respective PPT 88XX with Embedded (CE .NET) operating system or PPT 88XX with Windows Mobile 2003 for Pocket PC operating system.

Snap-on Accessories
  The MSR 8800 adds the ability to read magnetic stripe data to Symbol's PPT8800 Series pocketable computers without compromising the computer's ergonomic form factor—adding just over an inch to the overall length of the handheld devices.

The MSR 8000-00 reads one, two or three tracks of information with a single swipe in either direction.

Additional Accessories

 		 Holsters:
The easy release clip holster quickly and easily clips on to any belt. The protective holster offers easy access and fast removal of the PPT 8800.

For users who do not wear belts, the velcro clasp holster in combination with a durable nylon adjustable belt is available to secure the PPT 8800 on the user's waist.

Both holsters can also hold a spare battery and stylus.

  Spare Battery: The PPT 8800 uses a 3.7V, 1700 mAh Lithium Ion battery. A drained battery charges in approximately 2 ½ hours..

  Larger Capacity Battery: The PPT 8800 offers a 3.7V, 3400 mAh larger capacity (LCB) lithium Ion battery with replacement battery door. A drained battery charges in approximately five hours.

  UBC 2000 Battery Adapter: This device makes charging multiple batteries easy and cost effective. Simply snap the PPT 8800 1700 mAh battery or 3400 mAh battery into the adapter and slide the adapter into the UBC 2000 charging station. The charging station holds up to four adapters. The standard 1700 mAh battery recharges in approximately 2 ½ hours and the 3400 mAh battery recharges in approximately 5 hours.
