Municipal Court Records Management

Court SE ™ is a fully integrated, easy to use Court Records Management System designed  specifically to meet the daily case management needs of municipal courts.  Court SE provides court clerks and administrators the information needed to perform the full range of their complex duties.   All functions of the court are automated, tracking each case from the time a citation is issued until final disposition.

While Court SE is powerful, it’s also user friendly – incorporating many ideas and suggestions from our clients over the years.  Citation data may be easily entered in the system or imported from Cardinal’s MobileCite handheld/laptop citation issuance system.  Master files are utilized to reduce the need to re-enter duplicate information for persons, vehicles and codes.   Docket numbers can be automatically assigned by the system, manually entered, or the citation number can be automatically assigned as the docket number.   Citations may contain one or multiple violations.  The fines and fees associated with each type of violation are automatically calculated and assigned to each case.  Information can be entered to track all significant dates and all persons related to cases.  Payments can be received and applied to cases and partial payment schedules can be initiated and tracked. Bonds can be posted, forfeited or applied to payments.  Credit can also be applied to cases for community service or jail time.  Notes may be attached to each case.

Court SE automates the process of preparing statistical reports required by the State as well as a variety of management reports for the individual court.   A “template editor” allows the court to define and create complaints, letters, subpoenas, warrants and other types of documents to be printed.   Complaint forms and warrants for each type of violation are agency defined.   Warrants may be generated in batch mode based on user selected criteria.

If your city's Police Department utilizes Cardinal's BADGE SE™ Police Records Management System,  data from four key modules is shared between the Court and Police - Citations, Warrants, Master Name,  and Master Vehicle. This eliminates entering the same information into two different systems.  It also instantly alerts police of active warrants on individuals.

Court SE even includes a web interface to TrafficPayment.com that allows violators to view and pay their citations online 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  Once payment is made on-line, Court SE automatically updates the payment information for that case in your court system.
