Laptop Reporting Module

The Laptop Reporting Module enables allows officers to remain in the field while using a laptop computer to enter Incident Reports and Field Interviews.  There is no long training curve involved because the same familiar BADGE interface your officers are familiar with on the desktop computers at the station is now on laptop computers in the field. And all of the BADGE features your officers are accustomed to - drop down field codes, multiple levels of on-line help, spell checking, and incident data validation - are included in the Laptop Reporting system.

The Laptop Module is designed to allow officers to enter any information related to an Incident Report:
  • Incident
  • Offense
  • Suspect
  • Victim
  • Involved Persons
  • Property
  • Narrative
  • Supplement
  • Arrest Information
  • Master Name
  • Master Vehicle
  • Field Interview

At the end of the shift, or whenever the officer chooses, the new data can be transferred to the agency's main BADGE database by a direct LAN connection or by floppy disk.  During the transfer, BADGE checks to ensure duplicate Master Names or Master Vehicles are not created.  With Cardinal's BADGE Laptop Reporting Module your officers will spend more time in the field and less time at the station!
