MobileCite
makes it quick and easy to transfer data to and from the Field Units
(handhelds or laptops), as well as export the citation data to your
court or police records systems.
The officer initiates the communications
process by simply tapping an icon on the handheld or laptop screen.
Your agency can choose the communications
method that you prefer:
Wireless
802.11b or Bluetooth
Non-Wireless
Cradle for Handhelds / Disk or USB Drive for Laptops
If you choose the Wireless option, multiple handhelds and/or laptops can
be downloaded simultaneously.
MobileCite's
Communications Software provides an intuitive "two-way" data
transfer.
First, citation data is
downloaded from the field unit to the MobileCite
Host PC. Then MobileCite
automatically checks to see if there is a new configuration file waiting
to be uploaded to the handheld. If a configuration file is
detected that is newer than the one already on the field unit,
MobileCite
automatically uploads the new file to the field unit. This process
is seamless and transparent to the officers. It assures you that all
field units will always have the latest configuration files without the
need to manually copy the files to each unit.
A new Configuration
File is created each time you use MobileCite's
Command Center Base PC Software to perform various functions. For
example, you might add a new Violation Code, create a new Custom Field,
or decide to enable digital signature capture. The changes are stored in
the configuration file, then automatically sent to your field units.
Exporting citation data is simple.
Just select "Export" from the drop down menu and your specific export
options are available.
