PLIS SE - Photo Lineup Imaging System
Is
the filing cabinet your department uses to store photographs of arrested
persons and suspects bulging at the seam?
Does it seem to take
forever to find a person/s photo once it's filed away?
When constructing six
or eight person lineups, do your detectives spend long periods of time
searching for photos of persons that match the physical characteristics
of the suspect to conduct a lineup?
Are you tired of paying
for the high costs of film and processing only to see most of the photos
filed away and never used again?
If you answered "Yes" to any
of these questions, you will want to check out the Photo Lineup Imaging
System (PLIS) from Cardinal Tracking, Inc. Our windows based system
combines modern digital photography with a user friendly interface to
make capturing, storing and managing your agency's photos in a snap!
Creating a photo lineup could not be easier and retrieving a person's
image only takes seconds. PLIS SE will pay for itself by eliminating
costly film and the related processing expenses. And PLIS SE will
increase your agency's operational efficiency by saving countless hours
of time.
There are Four Major Modules in PLIS
SE (Click to

This system searches the database for
images of persons matching your suspect's physical characteristics and
constructs the lineup for you. Victims, witnesses, and officers can
quickly browse through images matching a variety of criteria, including
physical characteristic, offender types and gang affiliation. Lineups
and individual images with offender/suspect data may be printed using
any Windows compatible printer.
Cardinal's PLIS SE utilizes any digital
camera for capturing digital images. Images can be taken in two modes
where you may view the real time image on the PC prior to taking the
picture. The conventional mode is best used when pictures are taken
in the field and the interactive mode is a valuable tool when taking
mug shots. Images need not come from the digital camera only; they can
be brought into PLIS SE from video cameras, scanners, or existing
electronic image files.
BADGE
PLIS SE operates either as a stand-alone system or integrates seamlessly
with Cardinal's popular BADGE SE Police Records Management System,
giving BADGE SE users the added capability of displaying a person's
image from within the BADGE SE Master Name Module
Eliminate Film Costs -
Using a digital camera eliminates film and processing costs. Instead
of using a regular camera, officers can use a digital camera to capture
an individual's image. They then transfer to the image to the PC, where
it is stored with an individual's Master Name record, which records
physical, address, and associated information about an individual.
Master Name Integration -
The PLIS SE Master Name database and the Master Name database used
by the BADGE SE Police Records Management System are the same. This
means that updating information in PLIS SE automatically updates
information for users of BADGE SE.
Random Search Engine - PLIS
SE
employs a random search engine,
improving the integrity of your Lineup searches. Choose the suspect,
and PLIS SE does the rest - in seconds you have a randomly-generated
lineup of matching individuals. Users select physical characteristics
for finding matching lineup subjects, and they can indicate criteria
such as offender type and gang affiliation.
Security - PLIS
SE
has integrated security, enabling officers to show mugshots while concealing
the suspect's identity.
